  Kozaki Transformation and Development Foundation (KTDF) was established in 2020 with the aim to create a transformative and lasting change that will uplift the dignity of the human person and contribute to a more just, equitable and sustainable society.



 

Mission Statement

Kozaki Transformation and Development Foundation is committed to empowering marginalized communities and upholding the fundamental human rights of all people. Through integrated programs and collaborative partnerships, we work to combat human trafficking and forced migration, prevent gender-based violence, improve access to quality healthcare strengthen democratic governance, build robust social safety nets, and address the far-reaching impacts of environmental degradation and climate change.

Organizational Structure

KTDF has a decentralized, collaborative organizational structure that empowers its diverse team to work closely with local communities and partner organizations around the nation. The key leadership roles within KTDF include:

Board of Directors


KTDF's Board of Directors provides oversight, strategic guidance, and accountability for the organization. The Board is composed of respected experts and leaders from diverse backgrounds, including national development, human rights, public health, governance, and climate change. The Board meets regularly to review program performance, approve budgets and policies, and ensure the alignment of KTDF's work with its core mission and values.


Executive Director


The Executive Director is responsible for providing overall strategic vision and direction for the organization. They oversee the implementation of KTDF's mission and priority programs, ensure effective resource mobilization and financial management, and represent the organization externally. The current Executive Director is Rev. Fr. Isaiah Ter Esq, an experienced national development professional with a strong background in human rights, advocacy and organizational leadership.


Program Managers

KTDF has dedicated Program Managers who lead the implementation of initiatives within each of the organization's seven priority areas. The Program Managers are responsible for designing evidence-based interventions, managing cross-functional teams, building partnerships, monitoring and evaluating program impact, and regularly reporting to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.


Technical Specialists


The Technical Specialists provide expert technical support and capacity building across program areas. They conduct research, develop innovative approaches, and document best practices and they offer guidance on monitoring, evaluation, and learning across the organization.


Operations & Finance Team

The Finance Team manage KTDF’s organizational systems, policies, and procedures. They oversee financial planning, budgeting, and compliance. They also support human resource management and staff development and ensure efficient and transparent administrative processes. All transactions of the organization are done through bank transfer.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Unit

They design and implement robust MEL frameworks, collect, analyze, and disseminate data on program performance and impact. They facilitate organizational learning and knowledge management, lead reflection and adaptation processes


KTDF has 5 permanent staff, 6 volunteers and several ad hoc support staff who are engaged on project basis.


BOARD MEMBERS

REV. FR. ISAIAH TER,

Chairman Board of Trustees

Rev. Fr. Isaiah Ter is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Kosaki Foundation. He is a philanthropist with over 15 years of vast experience in transformative and developmental programs that has impacted thousands of beneficiaries and communities across the nation. Outside being the Chair of Board of Trustees of Kosaki Foundation, he is a Roman Catholic Priest and a Civic Lawyer. He serves in different capacities both in the Catholic Church and secular society. He is the Executive Director of Caritas Foundation for Justice and Peace-Catholic Diocese of Gboko, Chairman of Nigerian Catholic Diocesan Priests Association- Gboko Diocese Chapter, Coordinator for Migrant and Refugees in the Catholic Diocese of Gboko. He is the Chaplain of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Chaplaincy-Fidei Polytechnic Gboko Benue State, Chaplain of Knight of St. Mulumba Gboko Sub-Council, Chaplain of Gboko Medium Correctional Centre Gboko. He lectures with Fidei Polytechnic Gboko, Akperan Orshi Polytechnic Gboko and Staff Development Centre Makurdi. Fr Isaiah Ter is a Board of member of Fatilen Foundation, and Impact Research and Development Foundation.

Fr. Isaiah Ter is currently a Doctorate Degree student in Law from Benue State University Makurdi. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Law, Bachelor of Law from Benue State University Makurdi. He also holds a degree in Sacred Theology from Ubanian University Rome, Diploma in Philosophy from ST. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Makurdi Benue State.

Fr. Isaiah Ter enjoys reading, playing football and Listening to music 


AGBENDE SIMON

Secretary Board of Trustees

Agbende Simon is the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Kosaki Foundation. He has over 8 years of experience in community and youth developmental programs that has impacted thousands of beneficiaries and communities across the nation. Outside being the Secretary of Board of Trustees of Kosaki Foundation, he works with Caritas Foundation for Justice and Peace as Programs Manager.  

Simon obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Ubanian University Rome, Higher National Diploma in Computer Science and National Diploma in Computer Science from Fidei Polytechnic Gboko Benue State.



AKWO JUDE SOUZA

Board Member

Akwo, Jude Souza is a graduate of Geography and Regional Planning, University of Calabar and a Masters degree in Development from the Nigeria Defence Academy. He also holds an advanced degree in education.

Since school, he has been in the forefront of developing education and professionalism. He was instrumental in promoting the Institute of Certified Geographers of Nigeria as the first registrar and secretary of council.

In the development sector he has been involved in community interventions building the capacity of youth to environmental protection  and conservation. He is also an ardent MEAL advocate and practitioner.


He is currently in civil society as he currently works with the Good Governance Unit of the Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria. He has manned election situation rooms and conducted training and capacity building for election observers.
